technoLanguages LIVE
Free online PD sessions focussed on technology in the languages classroom.
Fortnightly Elluminate sessions beginning on Feb 15th 2011

On this page you will find dates, topics, and links to the session itself and the recording. These sessions are part of Learn Central's Australia Series.
Sessions hosted by Jess McCulloch with presentations from a variety of language teachers.

The aim of this series is to initiate conversations about the use of ICT in the languages classroom as well as build professional networks for languages teachers within Australia and internationally

All sessions run using Elluminate web conferencing software. All you need is the internet, a microphone headset and a spare hour. Sessions are fortnightly on a Tuesday evening from 8-9pm AEST, starting on Feb 15th. If you would like to present as part of the series then I'd love to hear from you! Any topic to do with language learning and technology is welcome.

Group Work & ICT in the Languages Classroom
This activity will focus on discussing ideas for ICT based group work in the languages classroom. Group work is a great way of creating a student centered classroom where students work independently and make choices that interest them and utilising ICT can assist in this.

Please add your ideas and requests for future sessions here. Also, if you would like to present, then please email me with your topic idea - I'd love to hear from you! If there are a few people keen to present and the group gets going, then we could have fortnightly sessions rather than monthly. But I'd need a few people on board to help out with that. Don't be afraid....:-)
